The theme is Beasts, Monsters and Daemons, which is quite open. You can look at creatures from a variety of things, including:
Folklore
Myth
Fairytales
Novels (Classical, Contemporary and Graphic, including manga)
TV or film
Own creations

I’m giving you freedom to look at whatever creature(s) inspire you, but you must explain the creature, what ‘attracted’ you to it and credit your inspiration in the artist’s comments. Background stories are wonderful

Contest Rules
Explain the creature and credit your inspiration in the description of your artwork.
The artwork must be submitted after the start date (1st August 09) and made for the contest.
You must use at least one piece of my stock in your artwork. This must be visible (i.e. not just a colourizing texture)
You must credit all the providers of the stock you use properly, including stock from other stock sites such as sxc.hu and personal stock.
You must not use any copyrighted images in your artwork.
If your artwork contains mature content, please only use a warning mature content or I won't be able to see it.
Please follow my usual stock rules as well as the rules of other stock providers you use.
You must include in the description that your artwork is for this contest. A link back to this journal/my page would be nice.
Prize donators can also enter the contest if they would like, however judges can't.

All entrants will receive an exclusive entry stock

How To Enter
Please send me a note titled 'Contest Entry: Traditional' or 'Contest Entry: Digital', depending on the medium you’ve used, with a link to your artwork.
You should include the name of the exclusive entry stock you want.
One exclusive entry stock per entrant, not entry. I won't ask so it's up to you.


Judges
