Can anyone help me with cameras?? + Updates

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 23, 2008, 3:53 PM

Look! I sidebar :aww: I hope it works ok. I used `kuschelirmel's journal CSS tutorial for the coding help and stuff :aww:

So the shoot looks like it's not going to happen. Sorry. I feel really really really really really really really bad about it - I know I posted a journal being really excited about it and I know some of you wanted to see it.
I will be working on some other awesome stock in the future to make up for this, I promise! Hopefully when I go to collage (collage, not uni) in september I'll hopefully make friends who will let me photograph them for stock and other photography projects.

Anyways, I hope you all have enjoyed my recent texures. I'm so proud of them and hope you find use for them. There are a few more to come, along with some other things:

:bulletblue: Jewelery Stock
:bulletblue: Forest Stock
:bulletblue: Exclusive Stock Packs (for contest prizes and gifts)

I had to give the camera I was borrowing back yesterday :sniff: I miss it already, but I'm saving up for my own.
Current New Camera Saving Fund: £80 / £300
I think £300 is the average for proper digital camera.
What sort of camera would you reccommend I buy (and how much does it cost)? Also, what sort of camera accessories do you reccommend (like: tri-pod or other things)?
I'm not a camera wiz or anything so your help is much appreciated.

*Is still tired and suffering from a headache*
Hope you are all doing well!

Rules of Stock

These are a few simple rules I'd like you to follow if you use my stock :aww:

1- For deviantART use only! Note me for use elsewhere.

2- Credit me in the description with a link to my page:
FAQ #81: How can I make links to other deviants, deviations, or websites?

3- Show me your work. I'd like to see what you're doing with my stock :aww: Just give me a link in a note or a comment on the stock you used. Please don't leave links on my front page, I don't always check there.

4- My stock is for non profit usage. Please note me for permission to submit as a dA print.

5- You can use my stock to make other resources, but I'd like to be told and credited like normal :aww:

6- Have fun and be creative!

Thanks very much for the feature:bow::heart::bow:
For around the 250 quid price range, you couldn't go wrong with either a Nikon D40 (or D40x), or a Canon Rebel. You can read reviews until you go crazy- trust me. It all boils down to opinion. I would look at other peoples' work here on dA. Look at the images, and then look down to see what camera it was taken with, if it shows. Most importantly- it's the human behind the camera that makes the crucial decisions. As smart as cameras are today, it doesn't matter squat unless you know what you're doing.

Also consider what you'll be using it for. If you want to do extreme macros, both cameras I mentioned won't cut it with the kit lens provided. But the normal kit lenses that come with the cams will do you good 90% of the time. Good luck!

Ha, perfect timing. See my photography wish list I just added today. I think I added all the cameras worth having. Well, within reason :) Just sort the list by priority to see the cameras:

I've been looking at some reviews but it's hard to choose which one would be best. I'll check out other peoples photography to see what cameras they use aswell to help :D
Thanks so much for your help :aww:

Your welcome. From what you were saying, I think the Nikon Coolpix P80 or the Canon PowerShot Pro Series S5 would be your best bet. But the higher end camera are pretty awesome. :)
